SOLA Environmental
In the summer of 2025, I was able to complete an internship with SOLA Environmental, a boutqiue engineering consulting firm located in Birmingham, Alabama. Through the course of three months I became knowledge on many different environmental regulations, permit applications and writing, and data reporting/collection.
Aquaponics Research
I am currently working in the Aquaponics research project under Dr. Higgins's lab. I am tasked with performing maintenance and data collection for our 12 aquaponics systems. Around 4 times a week, I am tasked with visiting the E.W. Shell Fisheries to collect data from the aquaponic tanks and take care of the fish. In the lab, I process any samples taken and record data in Excel. This job has enabled me to participate in undergraduate research and get a feel for this sector of biosystems. I greatly enjoy working for the lab, and I could see myself pursuing a carrier in this field.
Precision Agriculture
In the summer of 2023, I was able to complete an internship with Auburn's Precision Agriculture group. I worked with graduate students and fellow undergrads on various research projects such as peanut growth analysis and sustainable practices on Alabama farms. I gained experience with various agricultural and technological tools such as Aquaspy sensors and drones. This internship sparked a large interest in me in the agricultural field as a whole. I would definitely consider a future career in agriculture because of this experience.

Auburn University Marching Band
I have had the privilege to march with Auburn University Marching Band for the 2023 and 2024 football season. This experience has taught me so many things, such as resiliency and discipline. I feel being a member of this organization has taught me to be both a better musician and a better student. The skills I have learned will stay with me beyond my undergraduate years.
